Meet your teacher
Jeff Peterson
A Grammy-winning slack key master – and the teacher
guiding every step of your journey.
Jeff grew up on Haleakala Ranch on Maui, the son of a paniolo (Hawaiian
cowboy), surrounded by the sound of slack key guitar. He went on to study
classical guitar at USC and to lead the guitar program at the University
of Hawai‘i – a rare blend of deep tradition and serious training
that shapes every lesson he teaches.
That same artistry runs through the whole Academy. When you join, the
curriculum, the arrangements, and every performance example come
directly from Jeff – beautiful music broken down into steps you can
actually play.
