You can practice F and G scales along with other keys in first position (starting at the 1st fret and also using open strings) using the worksheet below. Start and stop and the lowest note that names the scale to hear the key clearly. The F note is on the 1st fret of the 2nd string. Play an F chord then start and stop the scale on this note and you will hear the key. For the key go G, start and stop on the 3rd fret of the 2nd string. If you are using the low G tuning you can start and stop on the 4th string open and you will hear the low G “root” note or note that names the key.
