Thank you, Donna! Yeah, jazz is what I play most often (I enjoy bossa as well—need to learn a few more of those), so getting a solid foundation in blues and how to make the uke “cry” a bit (in a good way. lol) will help me a lot overall when accompanying myself!

Aloha Ashley, This is so good!!! You have great feel and phrasing for all 3 exercises and were really having fun which is wonderful to see. Good job learning the inflections--the slides, hammer ons, and pulls offs that really bring the blues phrases to life. Nice laid back rhythms and ease playing the syncopations while in the pocket locked in with the metronome. Yes!!! Took a detour this week through the Blues course, and I’m loving how much easier it is after having done a bunch of the classical modules to get my fingers more nimble on the fretboard. Plus, I can see how the Bourée also directly prepared me for trying some of these very fun but also fast hammer-ons and pull offs.
