Ukulele Corner Academy Member Showcase: Robyn Anderson

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a member at Ukulele Corner Academy? Perhaps you would like to see a story of one our members to see what their progress is like. In this story you can see our first member showcase, featuring Robyn Anderson.

A Story of Dedication and Progress…

Robyn began playing ukulele in March 2022 and joined Ukulele Corner Academy a short time later, in September 2022. During that time, she has been one of our most active members, with 21 pages and over 300 posts on her Practice Journal!

With that level of dedication you might expect that Robyn has made a great deal of progress. And that is certainly the case. In the videos below you can see some of Robyn’s playing, starting with a simple melody version of Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, and ending with Jeff’s solo arrangement of Pachelbel’s Canon.

…and Community and Support

But integral to Robyn’s story at Ukulele Corner Academy is also her constant encouragement and support for her fellow members. Robyn does not just post progress updates in her practice journal but she also comments on other members’ journals and offers her support, encouragement, and congratulations for their efforts. One benefit of having a community like Ukulele Corner Academy’s at your disposal is that you can rely on your fellow members to offer tips but also a kind word of motivation from others.

Many other members have been through the same material you have, but also the same struggles. And that means they can offer tips for what worked for them, how they overcame different challenges, and offer you inspiration as you work through those same issues. Having others who know what it’s like to make a good sound on the ukulele, or to make your rhythms smooth can be a constant source of incitement to keep pushing forward.
